Since 2018 Push The Rock Guatemala has operated and led after-school programs in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, Guatemala. This is a Mayan community full of hospitality, various levels of poverty, rumbles from an active volcano and tight-knit families. It has been a goal to have our own property for a sports and education complex to be able to teach, encourage, coach, love, and share the name of Jesus with kids and their families in San Antonio. 

After months of searching, we have identified a prime piece of land that would provide a safe and sufficient space for our needs to build a sports and education complex. This property is just over a mile radius from our two current program locations. This would allow us to stay connected with families we have relationships with currently and expand our impact to others. We feel that God has opened doors to this point and now we are taking the next step with a campaign to raise the funds to continue what God has laid on our hearts. 

The vision behind the complex is to reach more people for Jesus, make disciples, and empower Guatemalans. This will be a multi-phase project which will include constructing a two-level classroom and missions team/intern housing building, the director’s home, a covered concrete court, and a grass soccer field. This entire project is estimated to cost $950,000, but we know that if God has given us this vision, he will provide funds and partners to join us! 

This property will allow both of our after-school program locations to combine and have plenty of room to grow. We estimate that 200 participants would be able to use the facility at one time, and we could have multiple different groups specific days of the week! We also envision this facility being a place to partner with other ministries, engaging the community, teaching English classes for adults, hosting discipleship trainings and Bible studies, and more! We envision this property as a place of rest, healing, learning, training, educating, coaching, but most of all a place where lives are changed. As it says on the back of our Push The Rock t-shirts, ‘Hasta que todo el mundo conozca el amor de Jesus’ (Until the whole world knows the love of Jesus)!
