Sports Ministry Training and Leadership Development

“God puts you on an adventure of a lifetime when you follow him first,” says Tyler Heath, who spent a gap year working with local Push The Rock programs in Costa Rica, Zambia, and Spain. “There is nothing like being discipled and poured into by people who have dedicated their lives to serving others in the name of Christ. I felt like I was working side-by-side with them for the Gospel, and through the work, I fell in love with sports ministry.” Tyler looks forward to using his business degree in missions work.

Too often, we measure impact only in terms of people and places served.

Yes, that is important.  But what about measuring the great accomplishments that come through serving someone?

With the model of Christ as a servant leader, our coaches experience life transformation that is forged in the unique environment of our training and in service alongside one another to students through sports. Whether they serve in their local communities or take a trip abroad with us, each one further develops personal character, integrity, and leadership skills that they can apply on and off the field.

We currently work with year-round interns as well as 80 summer coaches and gap-year students. In the last several years we have seen a number of our coaches move into full-time ministry.

You have made it possible to serve in these areas today…

  • Equipping students to serve on mission trips to more than 19 countries
  • Offering domestic clinics and camps in more than 25 communities in 7 states
  • Providing four-month training – from office work to cultural training – for any intern or gap year
    student entering our program
  • Bringing international students and missionaries to the U.S. for training

…Now make an impact in these places in the future!
