Thoughts From Esther Schultz –  Esther Schultz recently completed her three-month internship in Macha, Zambia.  We took some time to catch up with her and talk about her experience and wanted to share her thoughts with you. Read her full interview here.




A Week at One of the Biggest Events in Disc Golf- Last week, a few of our staff members had the opportunity to participate in a disc golf event with over 1,500 competitors, and a huge group of staff and volunteers. It was an honor and privilege to be part of the event and you can read more here.

Wrapping Up the Chapel Season –  The Eagles Wings chapel season has come to a close ending with the Hall of Fame Classic chapel last week. Meet Our Newest Team Member – Esther Schultz – Eagles Wings Disc Golf is extremely excited to announce our first ever international disc golf internship.  Starting an international internship program has been a dream of ours for a few years now.  In January 2019 we will see that dream realized as Esther Schultz heads to Macha, Zambia for a three month internship where she will lead disc golf activities, provide training for the staff, and help get the newly completed 18 hole course established… Read more here.



Eagles Wings Junior Mid-Atlantic Regional 2018  – 58 junior players braved the rain and played in the Eagles Wings Junior Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday. On Eagles Wings: Investing in the Future – Thanks to the staff at Dynamic Discs and the PDGA, Eagles Wings Disc Golf had the opportunity to be involved in the Junior World Disc Golf Championships a few short weeks ago. Two Junior Disc Golf Tournaments, One Weekend – In Michigan, staff member Jim Schultz held the 3rd Midwest JUNIOR Regional at Brewer Park in Grand Rapids. In Kenilworth, PA Dustin, Hannah, and Seth hosted the first of 2 summer junior tournaments, The Kenilworth Summer Break Bash. At Eagles Wings Disc Golf we love being part of the growing movement of youth disc golf.  It is a joy to be able to offer fun events for kids while sharing the love of Christ. Junior Grant Winner Evelyn Heath Introduces Disc Golf – Evelyn Heath, a 2018 junior grant winner from Australia, has taken on multiple events to introduce people to disc golf. In the midst of a busy tournament season and working hard to raise money to be able to come to Emporia, Kansas this July, Evelyn has taught many people about disc golf. Read more here.

Check In With Two 2017 Junior Grant Winners – Both Lydia Lyons and Virginia Polkinghorne compete in local events that were part of the Women’s Global event. Each of them won their division at these events. Additionally Lydia has spent some time helping out at a Family Fun Day event hosted by her local parks department. She is busy teaching more families about disc golf. Read more here.

Eagles Wings Youth Programs Off And Running – It is so exciting to see the youth disc golf scene taking off, and we are grateful for the opportunities we have to meet a need in the disc golf community while sharing the love of Christ.  One of our very first programs was a youth league we ran at Sellersville. In May we kicked off our fourth year of the league and were thrilled to have 30 kids participating! Read more here.

Eagles Wings UNCHAINED Is Back! – The second annual Eagles Wings: UNCHAINED Ministry Conference was another great weekend! We had about 20 disc golfers traveling as far as Pittsburgh. Camp Tecumseh partnered with us again, hosting us at their incredible facility. We were blessed with gorgeous weather this year, which allowed us the opportunity to take advantage of the course this time around. Read more here.

Grant Winner and Tournament Director: Wyatt Mahoney – Wyatt Mahoney became a Tournament Director to run the first Junior only tournament in Connecticut. It was a balmy 32 degrees for this April tournament, but 28 participants, from as far away as Maine, showed up to throw some discs and have a great time. Read more here.

Eagles Wings Staff Assists with the Largest Disc Golf Event In History – Our staff had the opportunity to host a clinic with a local church, offer chapel at another church in town, oversee one of the courses used for the tournament, and run the juniors tournament at the end of the week. We are very grateful for the doors God has been opening in the disc golf community and for the partnerships and relationships that are developing. Eagles Wings Staff Updates – We are blessed to announce a couple of new things. After a long support raising process, Chris Rodriguez has officially joined the staff of Eagles Wings on a part time basis. He will begin by focusing on the local ministry of Eagles Wings in Washington. Leah Cole has been asked to join the team as a ministry associate in Michigan. She will begin raising support with the hopes of beginning work soon. Read more here.

Here Are Your 2018 Junior Grant Winners! – It is an exciting day. We are in a place where we get to make the day of six incredible kids. This year was incredibly difficult as there were so many amazing applicants. There are so many deserving kids who are making a difference in their local disc golf community. 2018 Grant Winners Announced This Tuesday! – This year we received a record number of applications for the Eagles Wings Disc Golf Junior Grant. Disc Golf Thrives in Zambia – Less than two years ago the Marco Polo grant was the start of something big in Zambia, Africa. With the help of the grant, Eagles Wings Disc Golf took a team of 8 to Zambia to install a 9 hole disc golf course and teach the sport. Before the team left Elem predicted that he saw disc golf as something that would have “long life” in Zambia. It turns out not only was he right, but he would lead the way in making that happen. Read more here!

Junior Grant Application Deadline This Friday! – This Friday, February 16th, 2018, is the deadline to submit your application for the 2018 Eagles Wings Disc Golf Junior Grant. Our judges are ready to begin reading about who you are and the plans that you have to make your local disc golf community better. 2018 Eagles Wings Junior Grant Application Is Now Live! – It is that time again for the Juniors who are making a difference in their local disc golf communities to let us know who they are and what they are up to. Eagles Wings International Impact – Eagles Wings Disc Golf has now traveled to both Zambia and Costa Rica to build disc golf courses. It has been over a year and a half since disc golf was introduced in Macha, Zambia and we are thrilled that the game continues to be a hit here with our children and staff. We want to highlight one of our staff in particular, Wilborn. Patri Pringle, a pre-school teacher in Costa Rica, has been using disc golf as a fun new activity for the children in her class. Recently, Patri held a Disc Golf mini tournament for the kids in her class and the response was one of great excitement! Read more here!

The Eagles Wings Junior Grant is Back in 2018 – In 2017 we started the Eagles Wings Disc Golf Junior Grant program with the help of some generous donors and partners. We were blessed to end up with four amazing Junior disc golfers who were striving to make a difference in their local disc golf communities. Through the year our winners continued to impress on and off the course! With this in mind, Eagles Wings Disc Golf is ready to bring back out Junior Grant program for the 2018 disc golf season.
