Once again our friends from AROMA of Messiah College have traveled to Zambia to work alongside our staff there. The group consists of several men’s basketball players, some swimmers, several women’s lacrosse players, and a few other athletes as well.
Visit our Zambia site to hear more of how and what they are doing!
We are happy to have our friends from AROMA, the sports ministry department of Messiah College, back with us in Macha. This is their fourth trip to work along side Push The Rock Zambia, and it has been a pleasure to be together. Their passion and energy is contagious, and they have been a huge encouragement to us as staff members, as well as the children they have spent their time with.

58 junior players braved the rain and played in the Eagles Wings Junior Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday. Despite the morning rain and an ominous forecast, the clouds parted and we had beautiful sunshine for most of the round. Players from 4 to 18 years old each played on one of 3 different 18 hole layouts. We were excited to see that many of our competitors were playing in their first tournament, and for a few, it was their first time playing disc golf.
Each player received a generous player pack with included a shirt, hat, 2 discs, a mini, and more. This was possible thanks to the support of our sponsors: D-Town Disc Golf, Innova, Dynamic Discs, Dude Disc Golf Apparel, Zing Minis, Paragon, Chick-fil-A, and Jeff Daniel’s Jeep.
After getting their player pack, the competitors ate a free breakfast provided by Ridgeline Community Church. Then they attended a clinic taught by top local pros before heading out to play the round. The event concluded with a free Chick-fil-A lunch, some games, a free raffle, and awards.
All of this would not be possible without the continued support of our sponsors and an all-star volunteer crew. We are grateful for all who contributed to the day.
