MWS Heads home from Zambia June 2, 2015
After two weeks together, the women’s soccer team of Messiah College has boarded their plane and is heading back home. We had an amazing time working side by side in all that is happening with PTR Zambia. The group brought so much energy and love, we could not be more grateful to have partnered with them.
They managed to win all three of their games, while also spending even more energy each day playing with and teaching children the finer points of soccer and the message of Jesus’ words. After their final game in Livingstone, the team enjoyed a day viewing God’s creation at its finest in Chobe National Park of Botswana. The sight of His animals in their natural habitat is amazing, and perhaps equally breathtaking was the time spent at Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
We hope one day we’ll see at least some of these young ladies again. They were a tremendous asset to PTR Zambia in their time here and an encouragement to many. Thank you for sharing Christ’s love in tangible ways. Twalumba, and, best of luck in your upcoming season!
