Spain Update #8 July 4, 2010

July 4, 2010

This morning we took the opportunity to each breakfast at a local restaurant where a church member works as a waiter.  Since those who prepare our meals are either church members or missionaries, we wanted to alleviate the necessity of cook this morning and allow them to prepare themselves for the service or their part in it.  We also took a van down to the Puerto Cruz gym in case there were kids who responded to our invitation to attend the service.  Unfortunately, there were no kids from camp who showed up to attend church.  Austin participated in the worship band by playing guitar and Akeem gave his testimony during the service.  Missionary Steve opened the Word and shared from the first few chapters of Mark.  He also integrated C.S. Lewis Liar, Lunatic, or Lord into his message.  After the service, we had a meal with the church and enjoyed a time of fellowship.  The rest of the afternoon and evening included a Team Time where PTR team members shared their testimonies, we did a little shopping in the Puerto Cruz city square, enjoyed a meal ocean side and had some delicious ice cream.  Putting our heads down to sleep, we rested well with anticipation of what a new day and new week will bring.

Thank you so much for your prayers.  We are grateful for you remembering us.
For the team,
Coach Brendan
