Ben & Esther Campbell

Ben Campbell

Director, International Operations

Esther Campbell

Sports Ministry Associate, International Operations (Beginning Summer 2025)

Prior to coming to Push The Rock in 2019, Ben and Esther served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for almost 15 years. Eleven of those years were spent together in Papua New Guinea, serving the children of missionaries through education, coaching sports, and youth ministry. During that time, they also had two children, son Stephen, and daughter Keziah.

Growing up in central Africa as the daughter of missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators, Esther knew at an early age that she would return to the mission field to be a teacher for missionary kids. Esther earned a BS in Middle Grades Education from Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. After college, she became a 3rd-generation missionary to the country of Chad.

Ben grew up the son of Wycliffe missionaries in Papua New Guinea. He came to recognize Christ and His impact on his parents, at a young age. At an annual spiritual retreat during his senior year of high school in PNG, Ben came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He went on to attend Cairn University where he enjoyed playing basketball and earned a BS in Biblical Studies. At Cairn, he had the opportunity to play in the NCAA national championship! He also enjoyed coaching high school boys’ basketball at his alma mater.

Ben currently leads the International Operations Division at Push The Rock, providing oversight to the programs, supporting the international team members, organizing and leading short-term missions trips, as well as managing other administrative responsibilities. He also leads PTR’s college recruiting efforts.

Upcoming Move to Guatemala!

Ben and Esther plan to relocate to Antigua, Guatemala in July 2025 with their two children – Stephen age 12 and Keziah age 9. They are excited about this change and for the way that God will use their whole family in the ministry through this change. Ben’s role will stay the same, but Esther will become a Sports Ministry Associate in the International Division. Her main role will be to develop short-term trip curriculum and assist in the ministry in Guatemala. Ben and Esther both plan to formally study Spanish as well, to assist more fully in the short-term trips to Latin America. You can join Campbell’s ongoing support team or you can give toward their “launch fund”. These gifts will help them with one-time expenses such as airfare, temporary housing, purchasing a vehicle and schooling for their children. They are grateful for your partnership!

Ben and Esther each grew up on the mission field and served together in Papua New Guinea for 11 years.  They are uniquely prepared to support and lead PTR’s international ministry!
