President Emeritus & Chief Development Officer

David Walton started  his association with Push The Rock in 1998 as the chairman of the board of directors and faithfully served PTR as President for ten years, from 2015 through 2024. In January 2025, David moved to the new role of President Emeritus & Chief Development Officer. He remains passionate about connecting people to our vision and mission, encouraging them to partner with us. David will also continue to be our biggest ambassador, enthusiastically sharing the life-changing experiences that PTR creates through sports and the hope of Jesus.  

David grew up in the love and care of a Christian family and came to Christ at a young age. However, faith was never his own until multiple basketball injuries made him realize that it was only Jesus who could satisfy the longing in his heart.

David always had a passion for sports and played basketball and ran track in high school and college. He once held the high school single season and single game assist record. He also had a passion for coaching, and his U12 soccer team won the PA state championship.

David spent 39 years at PPL Corporation in a variety of departments and finished his career as the Vice President of Business Solutions and Operations. David holds a BS in Accounting from the King’s College and an MBA from Lehigh University. 

David and his wife, Julie, reside in Macungie, PA, and have three married sons. Pops and Gram also enjoy their nine grandchildren!
