Diego and Tina Barr

Sports Ministry Associates, Push the Rock Guatemala

After over seven years of leading teams to Guatemala to experience being the hands of Jesus, God called Diego and Tina to make the move permanently in August 2021.  After volunteering with Push The Rock Guatemala, God showed them a perfect fit with their desires to teach kids, make disciples of Jesus, and play hard. More kids need to know the love of Christ that Andi and Shauna Brubaker are offering kids in their community.

Diego and Tina met at UCF and got engaged on graduation day. Tina earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and Diego got a law degree from FSU. God gave Diego and Tina two biological kids, then three more by adoption from Ukraine, at which time they could no longer live without telling people about Jesus and what He’s doing. They awoke. Tina taught math in Christ-centered schools in Atlanta, while Diego was a partner in a national employment law firm before becoming an in-house lawyer with Home Depot.  But Diego’s passions were creating a pre-youth program for kids in church and coaching baseball, which were his primary ministries.  Now their goal is to support Andi and Shauna in Guatemala and expose as many kids as possible to the love of Christ as God does what only He can do. And they love it when any of their friends or five adult kids decide to visit. Please pray that God will bring kids who need to know Jesus, and that God will bless Diego and Tina’s efforts to learn Spanish to speak truth and life into their hearts.
