Jessyca Varell

Volleyball Director

Both my husband and I grew up in Lansdale and are graduates of North Penn High School. I have been involved in sports my whole life but in high school I narrowed it down to volleyball. I went on to study business at Arcadia University as well as continue my volleyball career. After graduating college, my husband and I got married and we have three kids. I also began coaching club volleyball at that time and I have been coaching ever since.

In 2021 we moved to Macungie, PA after a faith filled journey of buying a new home. I joined Push the Rock in the middle of the 2021-2022 season as a coach for the 13U and the Developmental team. Prior to Joining Push the Rock, I coached at two other clubs for about 10 years. I love that God led me to Push the Rock because now I have the opportunity to not only teach the game of volleyball and help develop amazing athletes, but I also get to be there to teach them how much Jesus loves them and spend time doing devotions with the kids and praying with the players. Most recently, God opened the door for me to step in as the director of the volleyball club and I could not have asked for a better fit in this season of my life. Not everyone has been gifted the ability to coach and lead kids and I believe that I have been given that gift as a way to serve. I am excited about the opportunity to teach young people that sports are filled with great lessons and are a lot of fun, but should be played for the glory of God and not be allowed to become idols in our lives.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received  to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10
