Taylor Dafoe

Sports Ministry Associate, Lehigh Valley District

Taylor started at Push The Rock as a camper in both soccer and basketball for six years and loved the influences and relationships he was able to build with his coaches and directors. Taylor then continued with Push The Rock as a coach and later an intern in 2019, before officially becoming a part of our staff in the summer of 2021. Taylor currently leads our Lehigh Valley homeschool PE programs, directs summer camps, and is the assistant director of PTR’s volleyball club. He also teaches PE at our partner school CAI Learning Academy.

Taylor graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a degree in sports management in 2020 .  He returned to Maranatha Baptist for another year to start on his Master’s and to play on the men’s volleyball team. He also served as the assistant women’s volleyball coach. Taylor also plays on several semi-professional soccer league teams.

Throughout Taylor’s college career, his love and passion for learning, playing, and coaching volleyball have grown year after year. He has a desire to continue his coaching career through Push The Rock while working other sports programs as the Sports Ministry Associate. Taylor, his wife Laura, and baby daughter live in Hatfield, PA.

“Sports are not all about you. In most cases, sports require a team effort. While you may focus on what you can improve on as an individual, I learned that helping others on my team through encouragement, motivation, and accountability makes a team stronger and allows me to show leadership and to be able to influence my teammates in any way that I can for them to improve.”
