Non-Discrimination Policy

Push The Rock Participant Non-Discrimination Policy

Discrimination is defined as “being treated differently, unfairly or less favorably” for some reason.  Discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, gender, religious belief, national or ethnic origin or sexual orientation is protected under anti-discrimination laws.

To ensure that participants of Push The Rock (PTR) programs are treated as individuals for their unique attributes (gifts) and not excluded, harassed, or bullied in any way, through unconscious bias or stereotype.

God loves every person and He wants all people to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  PTR believes every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31).  He calls all Christ-followers to love our neighbor as ourselves and to share the life-changing message of the gospel upon every opportunity (Luke 10:27; John 3:16; John 13:34).

As a result, PTR does not discriminate in the administration of its scholarships, sports programs, events or other organizationally administered programs on the basis of race, creed, color, gender, religious beliefs, national or ethnic origin or sexual orientation.

Volunteers and mission trip members are requested to sign a form indicating agreement with the PTR Statement of Faith.  PTR shall not discriminate against any participant on the basis of one’s agreement or disagreement with the doctrine statement.

All participants, however, are required to conform to the PTR Code of Conduct policy even if disagreement with the PTR Statement of Faith is expressed.

The president (or designee) shall be responsible for the administration of this policy.
