Costa Rica

David leads all prison ministry efforts in Costa Rica. He spends his time advocating for and finding resources for the programs and loves to coach. He remains in constant contact with Costa Rica’s Prisons to ensure the safety of the program and maintain a solid relationship with them.

Before coming on staff with Push The Rock in 2012, David worked at the BCR Gym which led to his work with our ministry.

Sports were central to David’s youth and formative years. He competed in swimming, water polo, handball and karate. He loved every practice session and competition.

Before coming to Christ, David went through a difficult season. He found himself praying for God to send someone to help. About a month later, he started working at the BCR gym. His boss introduced him to Jesus Christ.

The best lesson I learned about sportsmanship was…
At age 25, I participated in a swimming competition. It was my last one as a student so it was important for me to have people in the stands that cared about me. I invited every one I knew, but only my true friends came to see me. My point is: sports shows you who your real friends are.

At Push The Rock, we are full-time missionaries and are financially supported by people like you.
