Mission & Values

To be a global leader in sports ministry, impacting the world for Jesus Christ… one life at a time!

As a global sports ministry, we proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through the pursuit of excellence in sportsmanship and athletics.

Our core values

Firm in our faith

Push the Rock’s staff places the Gospel of Christ at the center of every program.

“For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.”

Romans 1:16

Kingdom Minded

Spiritual growth is promoted within our staff, volunteers and participants, with commitment and action to pursue heavenly treasures over earthly ones. We value partnerships that equip others in Kingdom-building work.

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”

Matthew 6:19-21

Focus on the Individual

We connect with each participant on an individual level – recognizing their story, as well as our role in their story. We treat one-on-one interactions as moments of truth to make a positive impact, and we believe that repetitive contact has the best impact on a life.

“Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”

John 4:7-12

Family-Oriented

Push The Rock staff is family. We are accountable to one another; each of us succeeds with the help of each other. We share an ‘all in’ commitment as staff and volunteers.

“Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.”

Philippians 2:2

Innovative

Push the Rock offers an ever-growing diversity of sports. We approach work with an entrepreneurial spirit. We pursue relationships with cultures that are foreign, marginalized and in need of the Gospel.

“Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.”

1 Corinthians 9:19, 22
