Czech Republic Update #7

July 14th, 2012

Saturday.  Our day was planned to take a team trip to Karlstejn Castle.  Not quite sure which direction from Prague it located, but it did require a 40 minute train ride from downtown Prague.

Once we were on our way, we saw a lot of beautiful landscape and countrysides.

Arriving at the Karlstejn station it was a 30 minute walk to the castle, uphill for the last 1/2 of the walk to the castle. As we walked to the castle, being that it is a tourist attraction, the street was lined with many little shops and places to eat.  Very tiny, picturesque village and fun to browse as we headed up the hill to the castle.

We took a tour of the castle, which had a lot of history(obviously) and was fascinating to learn about some kings and their families from the 1300’s and later. During the tour, we found out it took them 17 years to build the entire castle. I’m not sure how they finished it that quickly!

In the evening, we had dinner with the missionaries we’ve been working with all week. It was a great time of food and fellowship. We concluded the evening with our last Team Time. It was a great time to recap and reflect on the past week.

Thanks for following along and praying for us! Please pray for safety as we begin our travel back in a few hours. We are sad to leave but excited to see what the Lord will do with the seeds that have been planted here.

In Christ,

The Team
