Spain Update 2 June 25, 2011

Saturday, June 25

A good day today, most of which was spent in training and clinic preparation. The translators from Madrid arrived in the morning and therefore made the full team complete. In the morning and afternoon training times, we had a chance to introduce ourselves and prepare our testimony so that we are prepared to share as needed. We worked on what it means to be a part of a Push the Rock team as well as what to expect at a normal clinic. After lunch, we went to the gym to work through our stations and actually had each of the coaches run their station while the rest of us were ‘the kids’. It was a lot of fun, but it also gave everyone a good idea of what to expect. Following a logistics and other important details meeting, we had a fantastic supper. Allowing a few moments for the food to digest, we then went to the gym again, this time to play as a team. We were joined by the man who runs the gym and who is giving us permission to use it. He was a good player and it added to the fun. Before we encountered any major injuries and just as the teams were running out of gas, we went back to the church for our first team time. We had a time of praise and worship in song, Brendan gave his testimony and we prayed for the clinics ahead. It’s been a good day, and we look forward to worshiping with our host church tomorrow. We will even have the opportunity to experience a communion service as well. Please pray that we will be bright lights as we run our clinics and for the sore and twisted ankles that they would heal soon. Thank you for your support of us all.

For the team,

Coach Brendan
